In this episode, Dr. Douglas Lindsay, the Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Character and Leader Development and a professor and consultant, join Dan and Lauren to discuss the planning and writing of the interdisciplinary nature of leadership education.
Diverse knowledge, methodologies, and growth strategies beyond specific fields enrich leadership. To address the challenge, Lindsay and priority co-author, Dr. Katherine Friesen, identified the importance of understanding the current state of leadership education, including educator preparation, comprehension of encountered issues, and implementing a systematic approach using new methodologies, evidence, and diverse viewpoints that recognize the interdisciplinary approaches available for advancing the field.
Lindsay is the lead author for Priority #7 of the National Leadership Education Research Agenda.
This episode is part of a series of conversations with the lead authors of the nine priorities of the National Leadership Education Research Agenda (NLERA) 2020-2025, published in Volume 14, issue 3, of the Journal of Leadership Studies.
